Some neighbours

I missed posting yesterday.  the internet was very slow and uploading was a problem.
The other day, we had a couple of visitors in our garden and I thought you might like to meet them.

Here is the adult.  Not sure if it is male or female, but what it is is a tawny Frogmouth.  they are nocturnal birds that are related to owls, as you can probably tell by the eyes.

This very scruffy, fluffy, and surprised one is a young one.  I think he/she is very cute!
Later on, as the dusk came on, they had a cuddle.

It was a lovely visit with some rare visitors, so I thought I would have a bit of a sketch and this is what i came up with.
