out at sea

Today's ATC is made from an old sample, I pulled out of one of my folders.

Strip pieced fabric, randomly pleated, layered with tulle and free motion embroidered.  The bird is cut from stiffened satin I had made up for some silk flowers. The edge is just blanket stitch.

I am not sure if I have shown this sketch before, but anyway, this is one I did at painting class, it is a coloured pencil still life.

I did go over it with an orange marker for the dotty bits on the orange skin and some white watercolour for the white highlights.
