oil ain't oils

Not much to show today, except an oil painting I did  this afternoon for studying under the masters with Jeanne Oliver.  It is not finished, but I need to wait at least a week for it to dry a little before I can add any more.

Oils are so much more vibrant than acrylic, but they take a year to totally cure!  In this exercise, we were really playing with Van Gogh's technique and strokes.  I think I achieved that, at least.
